MLFMextra: Some of My Favorite TV/Movie Tunes

Busy, Tired, Lazy...

I can't lie, that's been the case with me. Sure I've been busy since our move but to be honest I could have made time to finally get the shownotes together but I have been plumb tired but it's no excuse to get this podcast out. Been going through a lot and learning about myself, about how much I love music is truly important to me because it is an outlet for me in so many ways.

For me, music has always been and will be the soundtrack of my life. The thing I love about blending different genres of music is that it is your interpretation of how you feel at the moment...from jazz, to rock, to R&B, to country...for me my motto is "If it's quality music, I will listen. I have wanted to put something together for a very long time. It's funny growing up watching movies and watching television shows I did not know many composers were famous in they own right and many years later and now with the wonderful word of technology I'm able to bring you some of favorite tunes from movies and TV shows I never get tired of watching. (Special thanx to the one and only Todd Kelley for helping me complete this podcast one of my favorite TV show themes (Teardrop by Massive Attack).

This is over 90 minutes of music. I should have stopped at 60 minutes but when it comes to these kind of podcasts I can't help but make them lengthy because so much great music I want to share, I could have made it a two-part podcast but I know me, I would have slacked and never got around to it so sorry for the length for my followers who may burn it to CDs but charge my mind not my heart.

"Incredible"

That is what my queen said in describing Michael Jackson. So many words can be said about him but for me that word sums it up for me. From watching his videos, his dance moves, listening to his dance tunes it was magic watching this cat when he performed with The Jackson 5, The Jacksons then when he went solo. You know me by now how I pay more attention to the musicians than the singer but with Michael you had to fix your eyes on him because the brother was truly gifted when it came to his vocals and his dancing.

But one thing I wanted to focus on was some of the coolest ballads he laid down. With these two podcasts I found some of my favorite tracks by this genius and along with some of my favorite instrumental tracks I think I have come up with a couple of digital mixtape that people will enjoy for years to come. It's funny because I search for hours in my library to find the tunes that would give his tracks justice. From listening to his earlier work and his work as a solo artists it stands out to me the MJ surrounded himself with some of the top notch musicians which means to me that he gave the utmost respect and for me that's brings a smile to my face.

I hope you enjoy the tunes I bring you because to be able to do this is a true blessing. To the Jackson Family, his chidren, you have me and Mrs. heartfelt respect, prayers...thank you for sharing Jackie, Tito, Marlon, Randy, Rebi, LaToya, Janet and of course Michael with the world because again...

You all are "Incredible".
