I love instrumental music. Anyone that follows my podcasts know that is where my heart is when it comes to compositions. I have my favorite vocalists but in the end the musicians are 'center stage' with me. I can't wait to download the podcasts from this year's "Cupid's Hunt" because I know I'm going to hear some classic tunes, seasoned tunes (my new way of saying 'old tunes' ^_~) from different genres. What I love about hearing classic tunes is the fact that sometimes I'm hearing these songs in a whole new light.
What I love about instrumental tunes is that lyrics sometimes put the melody in a "box" so to speak and without lyrics (for me) it leaves the composition open for ANY interpertation. I'm not trying to get all "technical" when it comes to music listening, this is Valentine's Day and the tunes I wish to contribute is of the "Acoustic Guitar" flavor. Whether if it's solo performance or with an esemble, for me, the acoustic guitar in the right hands speaks love in so many ways.
Big thanx to my man Todd Grundy for not taking "no" for an answer since I didn't take part last year. I'm look forwarding to seeing what tunes I will hear from my Music Podcast Consortium people.
This podcast is for my Queen who also made me take part in this event because she knows how much I love music and sharing great tunes with the masses. The cool thing about these podcasts from all participating podcasters is not only for you to enjoy the playlist just on Valentine's Day but every day.
Enjoy the tunes.
